Buyer requirement guide
China electric tricycle factory RFQ guide
Turn an operating task into a specification that candidate factories can quote on the same basis. The guide covers configuration, energy, payload, body, quantity, evidence, and delivery questions; it does not claim factory affiliation, supplier approval, stock, or destination acceptance.
Build Your RFQ BriefWrite the brief in four layers
Duty
Describe passenger or cargo use, payload, surface, gradients, speed constraints, stop frequency, shift length, weather, and storage.
Configuration
List frame and body dimensions, seating or cargo arrangement, motor and controller, nominal and usable kWh, connector, charger, braking, wheels, and tires.
Quantity
Separate sample, pilot, and production units by build. Note colors, branding, accessories, spares, inspection lot, and acceptable substitutions.
Delivery
State receiving state or port, Incoterm, packing, requested window, manuals, labels, inspection, and exact-model documents.
Resolve trade-offs before accepting an alternative
Payload versus range
More carried load, stops, gradients, and low temperatures can reduce route range. Compare usable battery energy and one stated duty cycle.
Cargo volume versus stability
A larger box changes mass distribution and crosswind area. Ask how body dimensions, axle load, frame, tires, suspension, and brakes support the duty.
Speed versus site control
Higher design speed may conflict with private-site limits, stopping distance, range, and training needs. State governed-speed requirements separately.
Low price versus included scope
Compare tooling, customization, sample, charger, spares, inspection, packing, inland transport, freight, duty, and destination services line by line.
Family document versus exact model
Ask for configuration- and model-year-specific evidence. A company certificate or series brochure does not establish exact-vehicle applicability.
Sample result versus batch acceptance
Fix load, route, speed, temperature, charge, brake checks, frame inspection, and acceptance records; then define production inspection separately.
Send the RFQ with open choices clearly marked
Optional budget should state amount or range, currency, and per-unit or total-order basis. High-end, mid-range, budget, or undecided describes buyer priorities, not a verified supplier grade. Current MOQ, price, sample terms, documents, and lead stages require factory confirmation.
